Angela's page

Hi I’m Angela married to Paul who has the final, well nearly always, final say on everything web site.
I usually lose the dining room to a computer workshop or return home to desperate telephone calls about troublesome computers. If I did not use a computer myself then I would become a computer widow.
About me, well I like doing cross stitch, not just the predesigned ones but creating from scratch. Taking patterns and adapting them and then choosing the colour’s to use. Each project is a work in progress in that if I dislike the design or colour then no matter what I have created I usually undo and start again. I have taken pictures and scanned them into the computer and then using my programme converted them into a pattern, but sometimes pencil and paper is the only way.
February saw us in Whitby again. Yes we both like Whitby especially of season and paid our usual homage to Moutray’s Pizzeria in Grape Lane. Well worth the experience of your food being cooked in a clay oven fuelled by wood. You must book as they can be extremely busy and they don’t do take-away’s.
Another of our places we like to head to is Beck Hole in the North Yorkshire Moors just out of Goatland or, to those who have watched Heartbeat for many years, Aidensfield. If you want to walk then follow the link there are also guides books available to enjoy the surrounding area. If you feel more active then go to Dalby Forest they have a Go Ape. Well worth it even if you do not participate.
You probably already know about the Snowdon trip. A disappointment not to climb but it shall still be there. Good consolation was Pete’s Eats in Llanberis, breakfast was an absolute delight. Also watch out the midges in North Wales have Fangs the size of Sabre tooth tigers, ok a little exaggeration but be prepared - they bite well.
